Genesis receives a capital injection from Actis, a British private equity fund.

Planning an international expansion, Genesis Group, a testing, inspection and certification company focused in the agribusiness industry, has just received a capital injection from Actis, a British private equity fund.
(…) With 15 offices around Brazil, 7 laboratories and approximately 1.2 thousand employees, Genesis has developed a network that allows the analyses of the products at its origin, before it gets to the ports or industries. “In 2014, goods destinated to more than 100 countries has passed through our analyses”, says Henrique Victorelli, one of Genesis’ founders.(…)
(…) With the private equity fund investment, the company intends to expand internationally. The company has already established its presence in Paraguay, the third largest soybean producer in South America, and plans to cross the border into other neighbor countries such as Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. The international expansion also includes China and Europe. In the meanwhile, the company may consider an initial public offering (IPO) at the stock exchange market. “The Company has a business model that may become global”, says Rodrigo Alves, the other founder of Genesis.(…)
